Obicare Charity Foundation Gifts Ohafia Widows Food Items, Wrappers, And Cash For Christmas

The Obicare Charity Foundation on Monday, 23rd December 2024, celebrated widows from the 26 villages in Ohafia. The event took place at the Ugwu Abba residence of the host and Founder, Elder Engr Obinna Agwu Odum.

 

During the occasion, praise and worship were observed by the widows who expressed joy, and prayed for the founder of the foundation.

 

In a warm welcome note, Elder Odum thanked the widows for honoring the invitation and assured them of continued support. He said the Foundation is aimed at improving the lives of the vulnerable in Ohafia, Abia State, and beyond.

 

He hinted that the foundation has distributed books and other educational materials to schools in Ohafia, Nkporo, and Abiriba, all in Ohafia LGA. During the occasion, Rev Dr. Sam Kalu prayed and shared the word of God, stating that the need for such a foundation is to improve the lives of the needy.

 

He emphasized that the gifts are not because the widows are hungry, but to add to what they already possess. Rev Kalu offered prayers for the founder of the foundation and said his appointment by the State Government as the Director General, Greater Ohafia Development Authority, was just a stepping stone for Elder Odum.

 

Speaking on behalf of the widows, Madam Nwannadiya Kalu thanked Elder Odum for remembering them in times of need and prayed for God to guide and protect the founder of the foundation.

 

The occasion was witnessed by dignitaries including the Chief Press Secretary To The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Sir Cyril Chukwudi Eke Mba, Councilor Representing Ohafor Ward and Majority Leader, Ohafia LGA Legislative Council, Hon Uchendu Agwu Eni and other personalities.
