Obicare Charity Foundation Launches ‘Back To School’ Programme, Empowers Over 2,000 Pupils

Published on September 15, 2026

The Obicare Charity Foundation has launched its annual “Back to School” Programme, reaching out to over 2,000 pupils across primary schools in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State with essential educational materials to support their academic pursuits.

The initiative, which commenced on 15th September 2026, is aimed at encouraging pupils to resume school promptly after the long vacation while providing practical support to children as they begin a new academic session.

As part of the outreach, the Foundation’s team visited several primary schools across Ohafia, where pupils received exercise books, mathematical sets and other essential writing and learning materials.

Leading the outreach was the Founder and Chairman of the Obicare Charity Foundation, Engr. Obinna Odum, who interacted with pupils and teachers during the school visits.

Addressing the pupils, Engr. Odum encouraged them to take their education seriously, stressing the importance of diligence, discipline and commitment to learning in achieving their dreams and becoming responsible members of society.

He also charged teachers to continue guiding and nurturing the pupils with love, patience and dedication, noting that the role of teachers extends beyond classroom instruction to shaping the character and future of the younger generation.

The “Back to School” initiative forms part of the Obicare Charity Foundation’s broader commitment to supporting education, human development and the welfare of children. A few weeks earlier, the Foundation had extended its intervention to indigent secondary school students through the payment of school fees and examination registration, helping them continue their education without interruption.

Some of the teachers expressed appreciation to Engr. Obinna Odum and the Obicare Charity Foundation for the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful, particularly at a period when many families are facing increasing financial pressures.

The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to making meaningful contributions to education and community welfare, with the belief that every child deserves the opportunity, resources and encouragement to learn, grow and fulfil their potential.
