Engr. Odum Celebrates Easter With Asaga Women, Lauds Gov Otti’S Exceptional Leadership

In a heartfelt demonstration of grassroots connection and cultural tradition, Engr. Odum, the Director General of Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA) and founder of Obicare Charity Foundation, joined the elderly women of Asaga Ohafia to celebrate the Easter season.

 

This act of community solidarity, which has become a regular tradition for Engr. Odum, is a commitment to honoring the resilience and steadfastness of his people—particularly the noble mothers of his hometown.

 

The meeting, held at Ndia Nsi Okwara compound in Asaga Ohafia, brought together members of “Uke Nkwa,” the apex female body comprising elderly women revered for their wisdom and communal influence. It was a moment of shared reflection, thanksgiving, and dialogue on the pressing needs of the community.

 

Speaking during the occasion, Engr. Odum reiterated the importance of unity in a community, admonishing mothers to always see themselves as pillars of peace and harmony in Asaga Ohafia.

 

While charging the women to support the administration of His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti, OFR. He lauded the governor’s exceptional leadership, describing it as transformative and people-centered, noting that his prudent governance has positioned Abia State on a path of sustainable development.

 

"As a matter of fact, I want to urge us all to support the government of Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, which has given us the opportunity to serve and be part of the remarkable transformation in Abia State. We must continue to align ourselves with this noble cause,” he added.

 

The women, in turn, offered fervent prayers of thanksgiving to God for life and progress, expressing deep appreciation to Engr. Odum for his consistent presence and genuine love for the community. They commended his humility and accessibility, especially during festive periods when leaders are most remembered by their people.

 

In a show of solidarity and social consciousness, the Uke Nkwa women pledged their support for Governor Otti’s administration and promised to continually uphold him and his team in their prayers, asking God to grant them wisdom and success beyond measure.
