The Director General of the Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA) and founder of the Obicare Charity Foundation, Engr. Obinna Odum, has applauded Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti for flagging off the construction of a new Omenuko Bridge, a vital infrastructure project linking Arochukwu and Ohafia.
Odum, who joined the governor to flag off the construction yesterday, described the bridge as a long-awaited solution to decades of transportation challenges. Elder Odum praised Governor Otti’s dedication to infrastructural development, emphasizing its potential to boost commerce in the region.
While speaking to newsmen, Odum said, “For decades, the Arochukwu and Ohafia people have suffered greatly due to the state of this bridge. Today, we are delighted to witness the construction of a new bridge by the people's governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR. May God continue to bless him.”
The construction of the new Omenuko Bridge, once completed, is expected to ease movement, reduce travel time, and attract new investments to the Arochukwu and Ohafia regions.
